Goal:

Prepare and empower young athletes with sound fundamental football techniques as they progress toward high school football.

Preparation:

Begin conditioning as soon you commit to attending. Arrive mentally prepared to play with intensity and enthusiasm. You will learn techniques and skills that will equate to increasing your confidence as a player. Show up willing to put a 100% effort and bring along a great positive attitude.

Camp Directors:
Javier Zuluaga and Steve Caparella, have been career football players and coaches, with over 40 years of combined experience. Both are determined to use their expertise and passion for the game to improve the play making abilities of the young athletes in camp.

Coach Zuluaga, or Coach “Zu” played high school football (1985-88) for Roncalli High in Indianapolis, IN. As Co-Captain of the team his senior year he helped lead his team to the 3A State Championship. He later went onto become the U.S. Naval Academy’s 4th All-Time Leading Tackler, as well as their Co-Captain (1990-1993). He played 2 years in the Arena Football League (’94 & ’96), and had a try-out with the NFL Indianapolis Colts (’94). He was the Co-Defensive Coordinator for Benningfield High in Wilson, North Carolina (’95). Player/coach for the Chandler Cobras of the Arizona Football League (2001-2003). Assistant coach 2004 Boys and Girl Club Footbal League Pro Division (7th/8th), Head Coach Jets Pro Division 2010 (4-4, Champions), Head Coach Chargers Pro Division 2011 (8-0, Champions). Coached football camps at Kent State University in Ohio for youth from 2006-2008. Defensive Coordinator for National Youth Sports Sharks 8-10 year olds Football Team in 2008.

Coach Caparella played high school football (1977-80) for St. Mary's High in Phoenix, AZ. He was the MVP for his team as an OL/DL player in 1979. He played college at Scottsdale Community (1980-81)earning Most Improved Player. He then went on to play at Northern Arizona University and started at center during the 1982-84 seasons. Voted twice Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week. Coach Caparella is most proud of being selected on the All-Academic Team while at NAU. He has coached at the high school, collegiate, and youth program levels. Currently he is the OL/DL coach for the Chandler Cobras of the Arizona Football League. Head coach 2004 Boys and Girl Club Footbal League "Steelers Team"

$325.00 per camper attending

Payment Deadline:

Full payment must be postmarked by May 18th. After this date, only cashiers checks or money orders will be accepted and a late fee of 10.00 MUST be included. Camp fee includes t-shirt, water and snacks, instructions, clinic worksheets, player evaluations.

Refunds:

A full refund (minus $25.00 handling fee) is given if cancellation is made prior to June 1st. A $80.00 handling fee is charged if cancellation is made between June 1st, and prior to start of camp. No refunds will be made for any reason after camp starts.
